This contest concludes 13 years of efforts to capture counterintuitive moves on a checkerboard. The entries in this concluding contest are intended to be pleasingly counterintuitive. They, in some ways, typify the styles of their composers. That may help some guess their authorship.
If you do especially enjoy one of them, please vote for it. The most popular entry will be decided by the votes of visitors to this website like you. Your vote will also let you see immediately how others are voting. If you choose to e-mail Bill Salot at wjsalot@comcast.net, disclosing how you voted, you will be added to the International Voters’ Ladder to determine who the best winner-picker is.
The “Contest Year(s) in Review” will follow the results of this contest. It will recognize voters and composers alike for their sustained efforts through this the last contest.
