The Checker Maven has had trouble with unethical copyright trolls demanding large payments for the use of some of the images displayed on this site, and we were left battling their outrageous claims.

We display only images that we determine can be freely used, but copyright trolls don't care about the facts. They demand proof of licensing and try to extort money if such proof isn't readily available. They threaten costly lawsuits and do their best to be intimidating.

We have since reviewed every last image on our site to ensure that we can show proper licensing if necessary. But we won't accept the burden of proof in a troll's fishing expedition. So a word to you copyright trolls out there; we will not engage with you or accede to your demands.
